https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLhmHff4QQ0

Objective

To provide a clear and concise procedure for managing product data within our internal repository, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient retrieval, and effective communication among team members.

Key Steps

  1. Access the Product View

    • Navigate to the internal repository and click on the "View" option to access product details.

  2. Review Product Information

    • Confirm the following details:

      • Publication status (ensure it is marked as published to e.g. raise an RFQ)

      • Product name

      • Reference ID

      • Keywords for search optimization

      • Owner information

  3. Document Product Description

    • Verify the product description provided by the IP owner

  4. Check Manufacturing Data

    • Review the manufacturing data, including:

      • Process details

      • Material specifications

      • Standards required by the IP owner

      • Criticality level of the product

  5. Product Category

    • The Product may be categorised according to the Oil & Gas taxonomy in the platform which can be used in the filters on the main Product screen.

  6. Edit Metadata

    • Click on "Edit Metadata" to add any additional data relevant to the product. This data will be visible only to you.

    • You can add your own meta data fields, although the platform has “Internal ID” and “Internal Legacy ID” by default. The intent of these two fields is to be able to add your material number in the first one, and, if you already have a non-AM version of the same part in your ERP system, you can include its material number for reference in the second field.

  7. Review Scope of Work

    • Access the "Scope of Work" tab to confirm that the IP owner has specified the detailed print instructions.

  8. Inspect the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)

    • Check the "ITP" tab for the specified inspection and test plan. Ensure all necessary tests are documented.

  9. Review Request for Quotes (RFQ)

    • Look into the "Request for Quotes" tab to see any existing or past RFQs related to the product.
