Objective
To provide a clear and concise guide for team members on how to effectively select factories to add to an RFQ, ensuring accuracy and minimizing misunderstandings during the process
Key Steps
Access the Factory Selection Screen
Click on the "Add a Factory" button to open the factory selection list
Review Factory Information
Familiarize yourself with the following columns:
Name: The name of the factory
Organization: The entity that owns the factory
Country: The location of the factory
City: The specific city where the factory is located
Can Produce: Check for a checkmark indicating the factory can produce the required parts
Audit Status: Check for a checkmark indicating if the factory has been audited and meets the necessary capabilities
Created: The date when the factory was added to the platform
Modified: The date when the factory information was last edited
View Factory Details
Click on the "View" button in the actions column to access detailed information about the factory
Review the Capability Tab to understand the factory's capabilities. Note that each line represents a capability, not an individual machine
Check the Audits Tab for audit history
Review the Other Certifications Tab for any additional certifications the factory may have
Select Factories
Return to the factory selection screen
Adjust the number of rows per page to 50 for easier navigation
Scroll through the list and select factories that have a checkmark in the "Can Produce" column
Add Selected Factories to RFQ
Confirm the selected factories are listed in the RFQ
Use the "View Factory" button to double-check details if needed
If a factory needs to be removed, click the recycle bin icon next to it
Cautionary Notes
Ensure that you only select factories that have the "Can Produce" checkmark to avoid errors in the RFQ process
Double-check the audit status to ensure compliance with required standards
