Objective
To provide a clear and systematic approach for team members to create an Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) based on the completed Scope of Work. This SOP aims to minimize misunderstandings and errors while maximizing productivity and accuracy in task execution
Key Steps
Access the Inspection and Test Plan Tab
Navigate to the Inspection and Test Plan tab in the project management software
Generate the Inspection and Test Plan
Click on the “Generate Inspection and Test Plan” button to automatically create a standard set of ITP items based on the previously entered process, standard, and criticality of the parts
Review Generated ITP Items
Examine the generated Inspection and Test Plan items to ensure they meet project requirements
Edit ITP Items as Necessary
For each item, click on the three dots to:
Edit the contents in the side panel
Delete the item if it is not needed
Move items between groups if necessary
Add new items as required
Finalize the Inspection and Test Plan
Ensure that the ITP is complete and accurate. Double-check for compliance with standards
Save the finalized Inspection and Test Plan
Send the ITP to the Manufacturer
Once finalized, send the Inspection and Test Plan along with the parts for the Request for Quotation (RFQ) to the manufacturer
Cautionary Notes
Be cautious when deleting items; confirm that they are not needed for compliance or quality assurance
Tips for Efficiency
Familiarize yourself with the standard set of ITP items generated to quickly identify necessary edits
Utilize the side panel editing feature to make changes efficiently without navigating away from the main screen
